Revolution – Shoot 1.

The first scene of my film is set at caravan in rural Cornwall. It’s a short scene, which establishes one of the two main characters and shows the audience his motivation for doing what he does in the story.

I was aiming to use natural diffused light for the scene. The conditions for the lighting were perfect as it was very foggy , which as well as being ample in terms of lighting, but also gave a good atmosphere, the film being set during a torn world.

Unfortunately by the time I arrived at the location to shoot, it was a lot darker , which meant my establishing shots of the caravan werent being picked up in full colour. When shooting inside the caravan, the darkness meant that I had to use lamps and candles to light the scene, which wasn’t effective . When re-shooting, i’ll make sure I film in daylight.
